Our day with Valentant was perfect! His tour of St Emilion was not rushed and excellent. Each of the 3 wineries provided unique perspectives about the wine-making process. Lunch was unexpectedly good and we enjoyed our picnic in the vineyard. All around a perfect day on a comfortable van with 8 total guests.

So the good things: tour guy was good and knowledgeable and the car was comfortable and it is a small group. What was missing: no water for 9 hours, very little wine in the tasting , the lunch was a joke. Some small portion of chicken and rice for a 180 euro per person. So in short it is a rib off. The tour operator takes out 65% of the value for himself and his fancy office. So don’t go.

Really enjoyed this full day trip. It was nice to be in a small group of only six people and visit two such renown wine regions in one day. The village of St. Emilion is stunning and would be worth a visit all on its own. Our first tasting at Chateau Haut Rocher took place under trees at a beautiful picnic table where we also had lunch. The lunch was delicious and the setting idyllic. I enjoyed the St Emilion region of the tour the most but that is purely personal taste and I gather that the actual vineyards visited can vary from day to day. Our tour guide Sylvie was really knowledgeable and made the whole day a fun experience. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

St Emilion was the highlight, and the time on the Grangey vineyard. While it was nice to see Margaux and appreciate the differences in the wines, unless you are purchasing I would opt for St Emilion and local vineyard.

I highly recommend Olala. My boyfriend and I have used them 5 times and always enjoy it. We like to have Xavier as our guide. I feel certain they are all great but since we have come to know him we ask for him specifically. The Chateau's they use have been of top quality. You won't be disappointed!

I have always wanted to tour the Bordeaux wine country and now I feel like i have done it. It was easy to book. The information was clear, the tour guide was excellent, the lunch was delicious, the choices of wineries to visit were outstanding, the van was comfortable. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting an introduction to the Bordeaux wine areas.

We had 8 adults squeezed into a small minivan that had a high level of ambient noise as well as poor shock absorbers, this made it difficult to hear our guide (he did not wear a microphone), those of us in the third row felt every speed bump (my coccyx bone has a bruise due to all the bumps), and there was very little space between me and the stranger next to me.
The towns and wineries we visited were really lovely but most of the time we could not hear the guide’s commentary due to the vehicle noise (this was particularly true in the third row of seats.)
At the stops, when we could hear the guide, he was very knowledgeable and informative.
The wine tasting stops were also great fun and most of the wines were excellent in quality.
However, I would not recommend this tour to anyone due to the transport issue, it was quite bad.

After having done other wine tours we found this did not hit the mark.
After a day of driving around the 3 vineyards we were exhausted dehydrated and extremely hungry.
The lunch offered was not adequate and was left by most of the group. Very disappointing. A glass jar of cold rice with hardly any chicken in. Of the three we visited one place offered up some chocolate with the wine which was a nice touch and greatly appreciated as some food of any description was required when drinking red wine.
There was also no water.
What would have made this better was some water in the van, small pieces of cheese or bread or crackers with the wine tasting and a decent lunch.

It was a very nice time in Bordeaux surroundings, visiting beautiful places and tasting great wines.

I've taken a lot of wine tasting tours in the US and internationally, and this one is a top favorite. We learned so much from our guide and the folks we met at each winery. Even though I know quite a bit about wine making and tasting, I learned some new interesting facts about the wines, the label process, and the differences in the land unique to the region. The wineries we visited were a nice selection of smaller and larger vinyards with a nice range of price points and I was able to ship some back home to the US. The walking tour was excellent to see Saint Emilion with some great vistas for pictures. Restrooms were available at all the wineries when needed. Overall great tour - well worth the day!

We had a great experience with O la la and our guide/driver, Gasper. As soon as we entered the O la la office we were greeted with kindness and excitement. Gasper was an excellent host for the day with an abundance of knowledge on the wines and the regions. He clearly has a passion for sharing knowledge. We all left the tour feeling wildly satisfied with experience and confidence in ourselves when ordering and tasting wines in the future! Tres bien!!!

Excursion agréable dans un véhicule confortable avec une guide sympathique et compétente. Dégustation de vins variés et intéressants qui représentent bien leurs terroirs. Dommage d'être passé par Saint-Emilion le matin, ce qui n'a pas permis de visiter le donjon du village (qui n'est ouvert que les après-midis). Le pique-nique m'a aussi paru assez ordinaire tant en quantité qu'en qualité. Deux bémols qui n'altèrent cependant pas l'intérêt de ce circuit.

La page de réservation est très claire, mais j'ai quand même réservé la mauvaise date. À la réception le matin, la réceptionniste a été très utile et m'a aidé à changer la date afin que je puisse rejoindre mes amis. Le voyage était très intéressant et notre guide, Xavier, avait beaucoup de connaissances sur le vin et l'histoire. This was booked last minute but was easy to do: the tourism office were very thorough with directions and advice, and I’m so glad I took this tour. Nicole our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and so generous and helpful, and the lunch was fabulous, the chosen vineyards were great choices, the vineyard guides were fun. I would recommend this tour if you have a full day to spare: it’s comfortable and perfectly organised with just the right balance of exploring and drinking interesting and excellent red wines.

We loved everything about it. From the ease of booking to the great communication leading up to the tour and to our fabulous guide, Valentin, we couldn't have been more pleased. We had an amazing group of fellow tourists. The wine tasting were intimate, informational and fun. There was an amazing comraderie among the group and Valentin facilitated an atmosphere that encouraged us to interact and ask lots of questions to which he always had an informed answer. Lunch was beautiful as were the selection of locations. Transportation was comfortable. Highly recommend taking a tour!

Margot's tour was the perfect distraction from a cold wet winters day. She was very knowledgeable on the regions and their wines and kept us entertained during the driving and the St Emillion tour. The wines tasted were varied and good though the option to taste some premium wines would have been appreciated...even for an additional price.

It was a wonderful tour with Rene to Saint Emilion and Margaux. We had great weather that day, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The 3 Chateaus we visited and tasted wines from were also lovely and gave a good insight into what Bordeaux is all about. I highly recommend this tour if you want to get a full experience of Bordeaux in one day!

We were very pleased with the overall experience. Our driver/guide was great. The wines were delicious and the wineries enjoyable. The lunch was only okay but that was minor given the overall experience. We highly recommend to anyone considering a winery tour from Bordeaux.

This was our first visit to Bordeaux and our guide Valentin taught us a lot about the region. We had a nice walk around St. Emillion and fun conversation with the group of 8 from around the world. The wines and Chateaus were great with the highlight being the last stop and unique tasting experience with the owner, Lucien.

This is a great tour. We toured Saint-Emilion and three vineyards. The tours were all super interesting and the tastings were great. Our guide, Margot, was outstanding. Really knowledgeable and fun. The one knock is the lunch, which was not great. That part could really use an upgrade.

This one (very full) day tour exceeded our (wife and I) expectations. We visited wineries on the right and left ban and learned a lot about the history and particulars of the Bordeaux region and wine enterprise. Our English speaking tour guide was great, and the relatively small size of the group (six plus our guide) made it a very personal experience. We almost didn't do it because of the price - but left with no regrets.

This was without a doubt one of the best days of our trip across France. Vincent is a terrific guide, he has so much knowledge about wine and made it very easy for us (as beginners) to understand. He also had great recommendations for things to do in Bordeaux for the rest of our stay there. Not to mention the vineyards are beautiful and the wine is delicious. Definitely recommend doing the full day so you can try wines from multiple regions!

Our guide Pierre gave us a lot of background about French wines, the regions and naming/labelling. Each of our 3 winery tours and tastings kept adding to that knowledge giving a way better understanding of the wines of Bordeaux.

The full day tour included stops at 3 wineries and lunch. The itinerary was well planned and even included a non-winery tour of St. Emilion. This tour was the perfect completion of my stay in Bordeaux and served to consolidate and actualize the wine experiences I had from earlier in my visit. The tour guide really makes the tour special and Pierre was fabulous.

I felt that this full day tour was well worth the price to be able to experience, in a day, the wine scene of Bordeaux. The convenience of having a guide and transportation arranged for you and then the tour guide's info and hospitality is an added perk. I felt like it was nice to get to experience a bit of history via the St. Emilion town walking tour and then visiting a variety of wineries that each tour/taste slightly differently than the others. It was nice to have a small group as well as a picnic lunch. Would recommend this to anyone who is considering it!

We had an awesome time and I would highly recommend this experience. The group organized a visit at 3 unique and great wineries with excellent tours. I was very happy with the quality of what we got and also with the add ons - the driving, the tour of Saint Emillion, and the lunch. I will absolutely come and do this again if we come back to Bordeaux

We thoroughly enjoyed our small group tour through the Saint-Emillion & Margaux regions of the Bordeax wine region. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly, and also a local which was a really nice touch and made for a really fun, informative day. We walked away knowing so much more than we did before.
As a traveller in the midst of a 3 week schedule it was also a great tour to do where everything is taken care for you. The pickup location is easy & central in Bordeaux, all the driving is done for you.
We enjoyed this tour so much, the next time we come we'll be sure to book a private tour for a more intensive experience for a new left bank appellation.

We had a small group, 8 of us in a mini bus, mixed ages and nationalities so made for good company and interesting conversations. The guide was friendly, very knowledgeable, very accommodating, and he beautifully set up a delicious lunch for us in the garden of one of the vineyards. Harvest had already taken place but I learnt a huge amount and would highly recommend this company.
A great value day out - it took in transport from the centre of Bordeaux, a driver/guide, 3 vineyards, a stroll round Saint-Emilion and lunch.

Our guide, Katherine was fun, knowledgeable, and an overall great guide for our group - 5 stars for her. We learned a lot, saw some beautiful sights, and had some great wine. However, I would say this is a history tour with a side of wine tasting. If you’re looking for more of a wine-tasting focus, this may not be for you. In addition, this tour includes 4 hours of driving which is not something I picked up on when booking. Also, if you know how wine is made, be prepared to be given that explanation at each of the 3 wineries. It would be better if the first chateau did that explanation and the others skipped that part. Finally - there is a lot of walking. We walked 7000 steps, so pick your shoes accordingly. I would recommend this tour to folks who are more into history than drinking wine, but for that group of people they will love it!

The all-day tour was in a comfortable minibus with an engaging guide who is evidently well acquainted with the wine scenes and folk on both “banks”. Tours by the 3 châteaux were all informative and different enough in style, content and delivery to keep the whole day fresh. Samples were generous, complemented by a thoughtfully prepared ample picnic lunch.

This all day trip to Saint Emilion and Margaux was one of the highlights of my trip to Bordeaux. I highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in wine and the history of this region of France. Our tour guide, Xavier, is a native of Bordeaux who not only was very knowledgeable about wine, but also the history of the region. It is limited to 8 people maximum so there were opportunities to ask questions of our tour guide or the representatives at the four wineries we visited. All the others on my trip were very friendly and fun people to spend the day with on our tour. As we were getting back into Bordeaux, Xavier told us of many fun things to do and places to dine in Bordeaux. I followed his suggestions and sampled Chateau Margaux at one of the only places you can go to taste this wine, had a drink on the rooftop of the Intercontinental Hotel, bought chocolates at Cadiot-Badie, visited the Dali exhibit at Bassins de Lumieres, had a traditional French lunch at Brasserie le Noailles, and a great seafood dinner at Le Petit Commerce. That was only part of what Xavier suggested. I guess I'll have to go back to Bordeaux soon!

This was a wonderful way to explore the St Emilio and Margaux regions of Bordeaux. Rene our host was brilliant company and hugely knowledgeable, having grown up in the region. His guided tour of St Emilion was informative and we got a really sense of the important aspects which made St Emilion a world heritage site.
We had a tasty picnic for lunch - a ‘posh’ picnic with wine - before we headed to Margaux.

- Il avait beaucoup d'écho dans la salle du dîner. Il était difficile d'avoir des conversations en groupe.
- Le guide devrait avoir un micro dans le véhicule de déplacement pour que tous puissent l'entendre lorsqu'il donne des explications.
- Point majeur: nous avons été très déçus d'avoir une animation en anglais. Même si le groupe était moitié français moitié anglais, les animations ont été faites en anglais et il fallait insister pour avoir une traduction en français! We did the full day small group tour of Saint Emilion and Medoc with Rene. The tour exceeded all expectations and we had a brilliant day. We learned a lot and tours of each of the wineries by Audrey, Mallie and Alexandra were all excellent. The lunch and wine were lovely. Highly recommend. FYI - all red wine. The only thing I would change is maybe some free time in Saint Emilion, but understand this can be difficult to get some group members back on time. Thanks for everything Rene, you were a great guide!

I purchased a full day tour to Saint Emilion and Medoc with Vincent on a Saturday. He was super knowledgeable about the region and gave us the history on the way to the first stop where we were able to tour the town of Saint Emilion, the UNESCO site, get some pictures of the old town, and even see some of the wine caves.
Our first stop was the Chateau Cap de Mourlin with a beautiful setting for the first tasting and tour, the only one on the right bank. The tasting was two wines and we received a vineyard tour as well.
After that, we drove to the left bank for our lunch and second tasting at Chateau Haut-Breton. During the drive Vincent was telling us the different in the soils and flavor profiles of the two banks. While we were getting the tour of the area Vincent was preparing our lunch for us. Various meats and cheeses, bread, a chicken dish, dessert, and of course wine.
We did get a chance to stop at Chateau Margaux for some pictures prior to the final tour and tasting at Chateau Dauzac. It was a great final setting with an amazing barrel room. The trip back to Bordeaux was the only traffic we encountered, but Vincent was able to fill the empty space with recommendations on where to eat and drink in the city, and provide more history. It was a great introduction to Bordeaux and the wines, how they are made and what is truly special about the region. I highly recommend this tour.

I like the fact that I got to visit 2 different areas- St Emilion and Margaux in 1 day. The other tours on offer from the tourist office only visit 1 area per day so this tour was very time efficient! I recommend this tour if you want to do a lot in a short space of time.

Nice small group. Florentine is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable, professional, smart & sweet. Scenery was beautiful. Nice Châteaus we visited. Since we did a full day tour, I feel our lunch portion was not enough though. Overall very good.

I couldn’t recommend this enough, the whole day was fantastic. Renee, our guide, was so knowledgeable and friendly, from the moment we got in the van he was telling us about the region, the appellations and loads about the area generally too, so by the time we got to the first winery we had some great background. The wineries were all great, all slightly different so it wasn’t the same story in each one. Lunch was delicious and they very kindly gave us some Cremant for my husband’s birthday. The tour of St Emilion village was also fantastic, he was so well informed and made everything much more interesting. It was so much better than I was expecting- I’m not that interested in wine, it was more for my husband but I loved it from start to finish.

I did this tour with my partner for our honeymoon. There was 6 of us. Our guide Yan is very knowledgeable and taught us all about the history and process of wine making. The wineries themselves were stunning. It may be a bit pricier than others but you go to both banks in Bordeaux and get lunch. Highly recommended.

However, the tour guide was constantly chatting in Frech with a guy from Quebec in the car, none of other 7 people could understand at all. Except at the beginning of 10 min, she introduced some wine information, the rest of time in the car, she only spoke in French with the guy from Quebec, virtually nonstop talking!
It would be a much better trip if the tour guide can pay a bit more attention and respectful to 7 other people in the tour.

We had a wonderful tour with Olala Bordeaux that met all of our expectations.
The only, very minor, issue is that we specifically wanted a tour that visited Saint-Emilion in the morning and Margaux in the afternoon, and I specified that when booking. When we arrived for our tour we were informed that they had changed the routine and we did it the other way around, supposedly to "allow us to see Saint-Emilion in the sunshine". Well the entire day was sunny, so it wouldn't have mattered anyway, and the town was so overcrowded late in the day that we did not actually get the guided tour that we had booked as the driver couldn't find a parking spot. We were left to explore on our own.
Other than that one disappointment though, the entire day was fantastic and gave us everything else that we wanted. The driver guide was good at his job and made the tour very interesting.
All in all I would recommend the company and would book a different tour if we are ever in Bordeaux again.

The wine producers we visited presented many interesting details. eg: The family owned Médoc vineyard (Siran) with old vintages in the radiation-proof cellar. The smart Médoc grand cru vineyard (Dauzac) was impressive. Then the neighbouring St Emilion contrasting old & new in the picturesque hills, with a taste of La Croizille 2011 - a fine vintage to finish.
Our guide René has impressive knowledge of all wine, but also history and local region. We learned a lot. He answered all our questions while driving us around, managing our each visit smoothly, with nice walking tour of St Emilion before returning to Bordeaux. Also a tasty lunch, with local produce, just the right quantity, with a choice of wine, and friendly delivery.

Interesting tour of three vineyards split St Emilion (1 stop - 2 different wineries) in the morning and Margaux region in the afternoon (2 vineyards). A long day and probably best split into two separate tours on different days. you go out; come back to start in Bordeaux- have lunch and go out again. Lunch was poor and not very enjoyable; again probably a good reason to do two tours.

Thank you for your review, You’ve book a full day tour in the vineyard from 9 am to 6 pm. It’s true that it is a long day to discover the Bordeaux vineyard but also the best way to optimized your stay, if you stay too long in Bordeaux. We also do a half-day tour to Margaux and also a Food and wine tour a little longer in Saint-Emilion, during the summer season. Concerning the full-day tour in Margaux and Saint-Emilion, we come back in Bordeaux at lunch to also save time in this program and because there is any other solution to cross the river between these two villages. There are no bridge in the Medoc area to cross the estuary. For the lunch, we work with a local company cooking fresh meals only with local and organic products. Sorry to hear you didn’t like it. We hope our tour was a good introduction and you’ll come back more longer in our beautiful vineyard.

What a wonderful experience!! Got a little lost trying to find the office. Small group of 8 people, traveled comfortably in a Mercedes van. Xavier was a fun and knowledgeable guide. Couldn't decide between Medoc and St. Emilion, and with this tour we got both! Great picnic lunch in between. 4 great vineyards, lots of great wine to taste. Excellent choice!!

Le forfait est très cher et nous n’avon pas de possibilité de gouter du vin car l’offert de Bordeaux etait de bouteilles jaunes, des vins d’aujourdui; ça empêche de qualifier des vins. Sugestion: un chateau, avec trois vins, par exemple: 2000, 2010 et 2020.

De quelles bouteilles jaunes parlez-vous? Nous ne choisissons pas les millésimes dégustés aux châteaux. Ces derniers offrent une dégustation des millésimes disponibles avec des vins plus ou moins jeunes. Il est extrêmement rare que les châteaux disposent et même proposent à la dégustation un vin du millésime 2000. Pour rappel, le "forfait" de 155€ la journée complète comprend entre autre : le chauffeur/guide accompagnateur durant 9H, le transport dans un van climatisé, les visites guidées et dégustations dans chaque domaine viticole, la visite guidée du village de Saint-Emilion, le repas du midi avec un verre de vin. I would not recommend this tour. It was quite pricey for what we got. Too much time spent driving and not enough experiencing the wines of Bordeaux. We could have easily visited 2-3 more wineries had the day been planned better. Also I requested a vegetarian lunch but was just given a few pieces of cheese and bread, more of a snack than a lunch.

Avant tout, j'ai beaucoup apprécié notre guide. Elle nous a appris plein de choses à propos de vins. J'apprécie bcp les vins de Bordeaux et j'en ai bcp bu....En plus, c'est pourquoi j'ai visité cette ville cette année pour la fête des vins. C'était génail de voir le processus de la production. Mais j'ai pas apprécié les vins proposés pendant la visite... J'attendais plus pour les vins de Grand Cru... on a fait la déguststion de vins trois fois. J'étais prête à acheter du vin pendant la visite mais aucun m'a donné envie...

Je suis navré que les vins dégustés dans les châteaux ne vous aient pas plu. Il est vrai que le goût est quelque chose d’assez subjectif et que nous avons tous nos préférences. I made the mistake of assuming that our cruise ship would dock in time for my wife and I to take the all day wine trip. Sadly, the ship didn’t let passengers off until 9 am and the wine trip started at 9. I immediately notified the LaLaBordeaux people and ask them to swing by the ship which was docked quite nearby. They were not very accommodating and the tour left without us. The operator stated that they couldn’t give a refund. They offered a wine tasting and a wait to catch the afternoon part of the tour. We accepted the tasting which was nice, but I was not feeling well and we declined the afternoon part of the tour. So, partly my fault but hoped for a better attempt to meet up with us to begin the morning part of the tour.

I chose this tour because it covers both right and left bank in a small group.
It exceeded my expectation and turned out to be one of the best winery tours I have ever participated.
Tour guide, Florentine was so great, very knowledgeable, helpful and attentive.
In the morning 3 winery visit in Margaux and returned to Olala Bordeaux shop for lunch including a glass of wine, then we went to Saint-Emilion in the afternoon for the visit of another winery and the medieval village.
I highly recommend this tour!

The wine experience was absolutely amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Bordeaux. The Olala tour guide was friendly, joyful, and extremely knowledgable about the region. Tout a été mis en œuvre pour faire de cette journée découverte une succession de très bons moments. Le programme concocté par l'équipe d'Olala Bordeaux , notamment les visites de caves, variées et très instructives, les dégustations, la découverte du village de Saint Emilion, le repas froid de midi, a été à la hauteur de nos attentes. Un grand merci à notre talentueux guide René. Sa disponibilité, sa gentillesse et son grand professionnalisme ont largement contribué au succès de cette journée. Cette activité qui présente un excellent rapport qualité/prix car incluant le transport des participants en mini bus dans de très bonnes conditions de confort, s'intègre parfaitement dans un week-end de découverte de Bordeaux et nous la recommandons sans hésitation aux amateurs de belles découvertes.

I highly recommend Olala for your English speaking Bordeaux wine tour. Yann, my guide, was passionate about wine and provided excellent commentary. He was intelligent, funny and engaging. This tour was a highlight of my stay in Bordeaux. I also highly recommend the all day tour so you can learn about the left bank wines in Medoc compared to the right bank wines in St Emilion. So fun!

We had a thirty minute late start due to waiting for what was eventually a no show. The full day “experience” was really just two half day experiences. We left in the morning from Bordeaux and then returned to Bordeaux to drop off the morning group and pick up the afternoon group. We received a lunch at the bike shop while waiting for the afternoon group. It felt like a couple of hours of unnecessary drive time that would not have been, if this was truly a full day tour. I expected a quaint lunch stop in between , not a ride back into Bordeaux and back out again. Our tour guide was very good though.

We picked the full day wine tasting tour with Olala that gave us an insight into both banks of the Garonne river, and I can tell that was the best we could do! It was a rainy day, but still - tasting, viaiting the amazing chateaus was a perfect program. We learnt a lot, the countryside is just amazing.

La visite s effectue en petit groupe( nous étions 7) et confortablement dans un Van Mercedes. Enfin la pose déjeuner est plus qu un pique-nique...simple et de très bon goût arrosé d un Clos La Gafeliere.
En résumé : n hésitez pas à faire absolument pour bien connaître le vignoble bordelais!
